New short film gets green light  December 12, 2008
Los Angeles, CA – After two days of meetings with the production team planning projects for 2009, Scraping Bottom Productions announced the green lighting of a new short film, Strangers. It will be produced under the Bishop’s Peak label. The film looks in on the lives of two troubled people struggling to reconnect after a terrible tragedy. Taking the director’s chair will be writer-producer M. J. Johnson, breaking his vow to retire from directing after one film. Cinematographer Jason Frey will take a respite from his favorite horror genre to shoot the film. SBP veteran Andrew Zutta will again apply his skills in the editing suite. A shortened pre-production period is slated to start in January, 2009 with principal photography to commence by mid-February. Casting for a young actor to take the lead role has already begun, however. More to come!
